KONY 2012 — My View
First, if you haven’t watched THIS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc , do so.
Second, if what I say offends you, I’m sorry, I apologize in advance for this one. But this a serious issue. We should not forget after a week, like most “viral” stuff on the internet.
You see, what Joseph Kony is doing is wrong. Morally WRONG. He is capturing children, using them as sex slaves, and using them as part of his army. Army? Really? Most of these kids are 9 and 10 years old. Some are 6. SIX. Why on Earth would you do that to a six year old? You have to be SICK in the head to do this to children. So, this whole protest, I guess it is, about making Kony famous, isn’t about being a troll or an annoyance to the internet, it’s about standing up for what is right.
Some people believe that this is basically nothing. Well it isn’t. This is more than just arresting “some guy” who enslaves children. This is about doing what’s right, as I’ve stated before. I believe, that if you believe this is “nothing”, you are wrong. Think about it. I know this is hard to think about, but think about it. It could happen here in the U.S. Granted, the person probably would not be getting away with it for as long as Kony has, but it could happen. This campaign, is about raising awareness not only for Kony to be arrested, but for raising awareness for this issue.
Kony mutilating these children, having these children mutilate others, and having them mutilate themselves. It’s sickening. This is stuff that is morally right. It gives me hope that so many people around the world are gathering together to stop this man. This is what the world is supposed to be like. They are supposed to come together for issues like this.
Some people think this issue should not be helped by the U.S. But thing is, the army in Africa doesn’t have the technology that they need to capture Kony. The Congressmen, both parties, believe this is morally wrong, what Kony is doing, and they couldn’t be more right. So my view is: Help the Invisable Children. Help Stop Kony. WE WILL NOT STOP!
So here’s what you do if you want this man and this army stopped.
Follow instructions on the video. Sign the pledge, get a bracelet, and SHARE, SHARE, SHARE the crap out of the video, pledge, and any other information about Kony 2012.
Participate on April 20th. Even if you cannot afford a bracelet, a poster, the actionpack. Find a picture on the internet, and print out dozens, hundreds, of copies and put them everywhere.
If you believe in God, please, pray for these children and for the African and U.S. troops that they will find Kony.
If you don’t believe in God, then just spread the word, do it because it’s morally right to want these children safe again.
WE. WILL. NOT. STOP!
